Diverse and higher paying jobs back in market
October 2, 2012This latest edition of the TMA Jobs Bulletin illustrates the strengthening of both the Canadian economy and the Supply Chain (SC) market in general.
"We’re working on a very diverse grouping of active orders from within the food / beverage, mining, construction, EPC/EPCM, and even financial and public sector markets" according to Tim Moore, President, Tim Moore Associates.
"We’re noticing a continuing improvement in the SC market, with more orders coming onboard, and in general, an increase in the number of senior level roles – previously ‘trimmed’ during the height of the recession. Similarly in general, salaries are improving, even above the normal cost of living, in some functional areas within the supply chain, depending of course on the sector, urgency, and rising competition in the marketplace for supply chain professionals," adds Moore.
"We’re looking forward to PMAC’s annual salary survey results and the coverage of it, within the upcoming edition of Purchasing B2B magazine – discussing salary trends for Supply professionals. I hope our observations and cautious optimism will be confirmed," exclaims Moore.
