The market for supply chain professionals continues to expand across Canada and our more recent request(s) come from as far away as Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. If you love beautiful scenery and the great outdoors then these jobs are for you. We are looking for a Stores Manager for a leader in the transportation industry. Bring your knowledge of parts management, inventory control, and warehousing. A background including the aviation sector would be ideal, but not a prerequisite. Enjoy the many other perks, privileges, and tax credits of working in the North. (Job – 622).

On a similar note, TMA is looking for a seasoned purchasers with backgrounds in freight forwarding goods and services into the Northwest Territories, Baffin Island, and Alaska. The biotechnology and healthcare sciences sector(s) continued to expand and TMA has two positions of note. The biotechnology role is for a Supply Chain Analyst for a one year contract position. (We also have an upcoming Procurement Manager maternity leave role coming up with this same client for a one year contract.) Mississauga location.

If you’re living in the Brantford area, TMA has multiple openings for Contract Specialists. Ideal candidates bring a background in healthcare, hospital, long term care, and/or public sector. Local candidates are preferred, however working remotely from home is a possibility, but not for more than 2 or maybe 3 days per week. The balance of time will be in Brantford location. For those in the Windsor area, we’re still looking for a Senior Buyer for our automotive related client. (Job – 612.)

Those new to the field of supply chain management in the Brampton area are asked to review job – 623 for a Buyer. Those from a manufacturing or production background in construction materials for commercial or consumer usage ideal. Some Lean Manufacturing training, and experience in MAPICS ERP software would be an asset.

Finally, Tim has another position out of the Brampton area for someone with a diverse food background including buying meats, fish, poultry, ingredients and dry goods – the works! The problem is, that in Tim’s opinion, this position will be filled with one of our candidates, before readers of this bulletin will have time to react. That’s how ‘hot’ the market is, and how quick our client would like it to be filled. (Job 621.)
